Matthew Lo

Matthew is Special Counsel of GMP Law’s Class Action Division. He has extensive legal experience in civil litigation with particular interest in insurance, superannuation, financial services, and class actions. He has worked with a number of class action firms and his experience extends to work with a major Australian Insurer and Superannuation Provider. He has also acted for clients in relation to injury compensation, Life insurance, and Total & Permanent Disablement (TPD) insurance claims.

Matthew has acted for clients at a diverse range of jurisdictions including the Supreme Court of New South Wales, the Supreme Court of Victoria, the Supreme Court of the ACT, the Federal Court of Australia, the District Court of New South Wales, and the County Court of Victoria.

In addition to legal practice Matthew is an author of the LexisNexis Personal Injury Law Manual Total and Permanent Disablement Insurance Module and was a contributing author to the CCH Australian Company Law Commentary. He is a member of the Costs Committee and Business Law Committee of the Law Society of New South Wales (and a member of its Financial Services Subcommittee).

Outside of work, Matthew is a dog lover and enjoys cooking and tennis.
